- minimum three years restaurant or senior living cooking experience

- culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience as a sous chef
- minimum of three years restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience
Job Duties
- Assist in the overall coordination of food preparation and presentation
- forecast labor and supplies following the Food & Beverage budget
- interview, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation
- ensure sanitary handling, preparation, and storage of food and proper care of equipment
- assist with receiving and storage of foods and supplies
- maintain community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization
- adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times
- produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional/dietary criteria
- exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- oversee work assignments and delegate special jobs to appropriate staff
- assist in preparation of daily production sheets and forecast supply needs
- plan food production to coordinate with meal service hours
- demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
- assist with serving meals and ware washing
- visit residents to evaluate food service and conduct evaluations to improve operations
- represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
- support creating a culture that drives revenue and occupancy through individual and business decisions
