Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience as a sous chef
- minimum of three years restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience
- flexibility to work from 11am or noon to 8:30pm
- availability to work weekends
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Assist in overall coordination of food preparation and presentation
- forecast labor and supplies following the Food & Beverage budget
- interview, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation
- ensure sanitary handling, preparation, and storage of food and proper use and care of equipment
- assist with receiving and storage of foods and nonfood supplies
- maintain community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization
- adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
- produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
- exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- oversee work assignments for kitchen personnel and assign special jobs
- assist in preparation of daily production sheets and forecast supply needs
- plan food production to coordinate with meal service hours
- demonstrate knowledge in cooking preparation and production
- assist with serving meals and ware washing
- visit residents to evaluate food service quality and conduct evaluations to improve operations
- represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
- support business decisions that drive revenue and occupancy
