Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Serve Safe Management certification
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
  • Ability to converse comfortably with individuals
  • Demonstrated team management and coaching skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and issues

Job Qualifications

  • Post-secondary culinary training preferred
  • Brand certification a plus
  • 3 to 5 years experience in kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Certified Serve Safe Management
  • Demonstrated team management, delegation, and coaching skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in supervising day to day activities of kitchen staff
  • Assign responsibilities for specified work
  • Set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
  • Promote safety and sanitation
  • Inspect all food product handling and follow HACCP procedures
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory, and managing supplies
  • Maintain effective cost control, service and quality standards
  • Comply with company and franchise standards and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a resource for resolving complex problems
  • Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, and promotion of kitchen associates
  • Maintain effective communication and positive associate relations
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions
  • Provide highest quality customer service
  • Ensure staff training and support customer satisfaction
