Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working as sous chef in a similar volume-based business, upscaled dining preferred
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and leadership in complex employee relations matters
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, events/catering software, timekeeping/scheduling, and POS systems
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating across all levels of an organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Must be able to obtain manager food safety certifications
  • Flexible and dependable to work full-time day or night shifts, weekends and holidays, up to 50 hours per week
  • Must be able to maneuver all kitchen areas including food and beverage areas
  • Must be able to taste and differentiate between flavors and aromas
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Must tolerate varying levels of stress, temperature, illumination, air quality and fatigue
  • Must have mobility to perform tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • Must have ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk up to 10 hours during a single shift, navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain highest quality and standards in daily kitchen operations
  • Oversee production, safety, and sanitation within the kitchen
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff and employee relations
  • Collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Use computer systems for scheduling, POS, and event management
  • Obtain and maintain manager food safety certifications
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
