Job Requirements

  • Prior supervisory and culinary service experience in hospitality industry
  • Working knowledge of dining etiquette and food handling
  • Prior professional cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food service sanitation techniques
  • ServSafe Certification strongly preferred
  • At least two years cooking experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push and pull
  • Ability to use smell and taste to recognize odors and flavors
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Frequent exposure to heat, cold, hot water, cleaning chemicals, and garbage disposals
  • Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills
  • Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting

Job Qualifications

  • Fine dining experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of dining etiquette and food handling techniques
  • High level of customer service
  • Prior professional cooking experience
  • Knowledge of proper food service sanitation techniques
  • ServSafe Certification strongly preferred
  • At least two years cooking experience in hospitality
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Purchase all food products and cleaning supplies as directed
  • Ensure food and supply stock is maintained regularly
  • Stand in to actively cook when needed and during peak times
  • Maintain organized production and regulatory record keeping
  • Process all invoices timely and work with Business Office Manager on billing issues
  • Review residents' dining restrictions
  • Manage and schedule kitchen staff for maximum efficiency
  • Ensure food consistency and quality by tasting and soliciting feedback
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
  • Assist in hiring, time keeping, and performance management of kitchen staff
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by Culinary Service Director
