Job Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • High school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
  • Must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests
  • Must meet all training and applicable state and federal guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in a manager, assistant manager, or supervisor role
  • Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, culinary arts, or hospitality preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to multitask
  • Caring and compassionate attitude
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation and infection control practices

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
  • Assist executive chef with daily culinary and administrative tasks
  • Follow directives assigned by executive and assistant director
  • Maintain order and discipline in kitchen
  • Keep records and manage inventory
  • Handle purchase orders
  • Perform executive chef duties during their absence
  • Become proficient in kitchen sanitation
  • Cross-train and train culinary staff on food preparation, arrangement, and plating
  • Maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents
