Job Requirements

  • college or culinary school degree required
  • combination of education and experience equivalent to culinary school graduation considered
  • three or more years in food and beverage or senior living hospitality experience
  • scratch cooking experience required
  • sauté and broiler experience preferred
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • ability to read, write, and understand English
  • physical ability to use kitchen equipment and perform essential duties including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef in overseeing culinary operations
  • supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities
  • provide culinary training to kitchen employees
  • manage dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care, and Club Room
  • support special events and private functions culinary services
  • ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • maintain a professional and friendly service environment
