- Experience in menu and recipe development
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure
Job Duties
- Produce and oversee breakfast, lunch and dinner for quality assurance of meal presentation and portion control
- Prepare and coordinate all meals from standardized recipes
- Assist in the coordination of prep for the following day’s menu
- Participate in a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review details of daily menu
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order and kept clean at all times
- Oversee the proper inventory, storage and use of cleaning chemicals
- Keep stock rooms, coolers and freezers clean and rotated
- Ensure an adequate number of culinary employees each shift and coverage for absences
- Assist in menu and recipe development
- Assist in food ordering and inventory
- Assist in maintaining budget compliance for daily food costs
- Minimize waste using food storage and recycling techniques and loss prevention procedures
- Assist in training and scheduling of employees in accordance with policy
- Assist in the coordination and execution of special events
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to health code requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
