Job Requirements
- Completion of a post-secondary culinary arts program or equivalent experience
- basic knowledge of computers and technology
- must be at least eighteen years of age
- possess a strong familiarity with food service regulations and proper food handling procedures
- demonstrate strong operational skills and high service standards
- valid Food Handler Card at time of hire
- proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Restaurant POS systems
- commitment to continue self-education on food trends
- excellent customer service skills and ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- excellent communication skills and positive professional demeanor
- flexible schedule including daytime, evening, and weekend availability
- ability to read and interpret standardized measurements and financial reports
- ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items up to 75 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary culinary arts program or equivalent experience
- previous supervisory experience in a culinary setting

Job Duties
- Manage kitchen staff effectively and provide supportive leadership and motivation throughout food service
- train and coach kitchen staff to adhere to company standards, policies and procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
- assist the Executive Chef in creating weekly work schedules for hourly back-of-house employees
- direct kitchen employees in food production with a hands-on approach when executing the line
- oversee daily ordering and receiving for kitchen operations, ensuring quality and accuracy
- assemble food production lines and ensure proper stocking during and after service
- set up production cycles, maintain proper inventory levels, and replenish items as necessary
- participate in recipe development and maintain in-house core recipe files
- conduct departmental orientation for new employees and participate in performance evaluations
- monitor food production areas for safety and sanitation practices including cleanliness of walk-in refrigerators and dry storage
- correctly file paperwork and complete daily tasks such as invoices, food budgets, and pricing
- foster a positive work environment through friendly, caring, and professional communication
- embody and deliver exceptional service and hospitality
