Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food preparation or kitchen supervision
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • physical capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to maintain licenses or certifications as required
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • one year of experience in similar culinary or kitchen supervisory role preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications
  • ability to stand and walk for majority of shift
  • physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 pounds
  • capable of performing physical tasks including grasping, reaching, bending, lifting, and kneeling

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all food preparation and presentation procedures as directed by the Executive Chef
  • monitor quantity and quality of prepared food
  • ensure proper rotation and utilization of stored food to prevent waste
  • oversee food consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control
  • monitor staffing levels, overtime, and early out requests
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas according to health and safety standards
  • delegate work assignments to kitchen staff
  • monitor employee performance and provide training or disciplinary measures as needed
  • requisition stock based on business needs
  • ensure kitchen and storage areas are free from safety hazards
