Job Requirements
- college or culinary school degree
- three or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant, or senior living hospitality experience
- scratch cooking experience
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
- ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull continuously
- ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform essential functions within varying temperature ranges
Job Qualifications

- saute and broiler experience preferred
- ServeSafe certification preferred

Job Duties
- assist the Executive Chef with supervising and coordinating culinary activities for all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care, and Club Room
- provide exceptional oversight and culinary training to kitchen employees
- ensure all food preparation meets The Sterling Touch® standards for professionalism, friendliness, courtesy, helpfulness, and timeliness
- contribute to menu planning and execution for dining venues and special events
- maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- manage kitchen operations in compliance with community standards, processes, procedures, and philosophies
- support special events and private functions with culinary expertise
