Job Requirements

  • Previous sous chef or executive sous chef experience or strong lead line cook background
  • Proven success working in high-volume kitchens
  • Ability to lead a team with calm and consistent professionalism
  • Strong culinary skills including knife skills and cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of kitchen organization and prep planning
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage inventory and support cost control
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous sous chef or executive sous chef experience strongly preferred
  • Strong lead line cooks ready to step into a sous role will be considered with the right background
  • Proven success in high-volume kitchens steakhouse fine dining or upscale casual experience is a plus
  • Calm consistent leadership style able to direct a team with clarity and professionalism
  • Strong fundamentals across stations knife skills and culinary technique
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with kitchen organization prep planning and maintaining consistent standards shift to shift

Job Duties

  • Lead the line during service ensuring proper station setup pacing and execution
  • Maintain quality and consistency across all menu items
  • Train coach and mentor cooks modeling standards and holding the team accountable
  • Support daily prep and production planning ensuring par levels and effective communication
  • Maintain compliance with all health and safety standards reinforcing safe food handling labeling and storage
  • Assist with ordering receiving product rotation and inventory counts supporting food cost and waste reduction
  • Contribute to a respectful team-oriented kitchen culture partnering with FOH leadership for smooth guest experience
  • Assist the Chef with schedule execution call-out coverage and staffing support
