Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Approximately 5 years of related culinary experience
- Food Protection Certificate issued by Department of Health
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work weekdays and some weekends
- Ability to work in an industrial kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Ensures environmental safety compliance with Department of Health standards and guidelines
- Supervises kitchen personnel to ensure safe production, preparation, and presentation of food through processes, planning, and training
- Receives food products, checks for freshness and quality, and stores appropriately
- Assists with ordering products and supplies, ensuring high quality and effective pricing
- Assists with planning and creation of daily menus
- Assists with anticipating and arranging for coverage during vacation, sick, or personal leave
- Ensures proper handling, storage, and portion control of food products
- Prepares food for a la carte and banquet service, primarily hot food
- Runs culinary operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
