Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent experience/training
  • 2-3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role or higher
  • meet city and state sanitation guidelines
  • ability to transport, handle and/or lift 100 lbs
  • ability to communicate effectively in English including reading, writing, and following directions
  • ability to work any assigned shift/schedule
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment use, cleaning, safe handling, and breakdown
  • experience with food requisition, quality checking, and proper storage
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in kitchen and storage areas

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role or higher
  • culinary school or related experience in similar operations
  • high school diploma or equivalent experience/training
  • knowledge of city and state sanitation guidelines
  • ability to prepare food to meet quality standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines
  • familiarity with inventory management and cost control
  • strong collaboration and communication skills
  • experience in menu planning and food cost analysis
  • ability to maintain accurate records and prepare management reports
  • capability to train and develop kitchen staff
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety education programs
  • ability to ensure showroom readiness and compliance
  • effective English communication skills

Job Duties

  • assume the leadership role in production and execution of the kitchen and culinary team with all daily functions, working closely with the executive chef on a shared vision for the team and operational needs
  • maintain a commitment for guest service and employee development
  • maintain the highest quality while understanding food cost
  • delegate daily staff meals and oversee cost and execution with supervising cooks
  • ensure all food is prepared to meet established quality standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines
  • monitor portion sizes and ingredient quality for optimal guest dining experience
  • conduct regular inspections of kitchen operations and food storage for health and safety compliance
  • oversee inventory management including ordering, receiving, and stocking kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • monitor food and supply costs ensuring cost-effective resource use
  • coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries and resolve supply issues
  • collaborate with front-of-house staff, management, and other departments for smooth communication and service
  • address customer feedback related to food and kitchen service and implement improvements
  • assist in menu planning, costing, and development of special promotions or events
  • maintain accurate records of food inventory, employee attendance, and performance
  • prepare reports on kitchen performance, staff efficiency, and food cost analysis for management
  • assist in hiring and training new kitchen employees
  • supervise and participate in food preparation and execution for banquet events
  • ensure banquet functions are properly broken down and reusable items returned
  • train and develop employee skills exemplifying the "Be the Difference" attitude
  • develop and maintain ongoing education programs for sanitation and safety
  • ensure showroom is client-ready with all displays and products properly arranged
  • ensure showroom activities comply with company policies and safety standards
