Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in restaurant kitchen(s)
  • Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Culinary education degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant kitchens
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a restaurant setting
  • Experience with kitchen equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Prior experience in hotel or resort kitchen environments preferred
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety standards
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Positive attitude with professional workplace demeanor

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with directing food preparation and presentation in all lodge venues
  • Maintain and follow all local health department food preparation codes and regulations
  • Collaborate in hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling kitchen staff
  • Maintain strong working relationships with hotel staff to ensure efficient operations
  • Contribute to new menu creation based on food trends, regional demographics, and profitability goals
  • Audit food storage and ensure proper storage methods like FIFO
  • Perform food preparation tasks for various ingredients according to recipes
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, presentation, and service meet high standards
  • Monitor equipment operation, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and request repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all food handling and sanitation regulations
