Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
  • Utilize food preparation procedures following federal, state and local guidelines
  • Assist Executive Chef with administrative duties such as attendance and human resources
  • Monitor and review HACCP logs
  • Assemble RTE menu items according to recipes and ISS/GEI standards
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment complying with regulatory rules
  • Support management with monthly inventory
  • Notify management of product, safety, or other concerns
  • Attend all daily meetings
  • Report accidents and injuries timely
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure high quality food items are well prepared and cost-effective
  • Follow Guckenheimer's food standards guidelines
  • Purchase products following Guckenheimer's standards and sustainability commitments
  • Ensure display, catering and café services meet account standards
  • Dispose of kitchen waste sustainably
  • Train and supervise staff
  • Enforce proper uniform standards
  • Assist in staff reviews and disciplinary actions
  • Document training standards for direct hires
  • Interact with customers professionally and resolve complaints
  • Communicate honestly and timely with clients
  • Review weekly participation to recommend adjustments affecting food budget or service
  • Maintain labor in line with forecasts and budget
  • Ensure food cost meets budget goals
  • Oversee café appearance and upkeep
  • Supervise food presentation
  • Maintain fresh and seasonal décor
  • Edit daily signage for accuracy and allergen information
  • Adhere to dress code
  • Work under pressure during peak periods
  • Stand for up to 8 hours
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Utilize assistance for heavy loads
  • Adhere to HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Actively participate in safety and compliance training
  • Report hazards or compliance concerns
