Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Proven leadership experience
- Familiarity with sanitation and safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and senior nutrition requirements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Lead and supervise cooks and kitchen staff during prep, production, and service
- expedite service during peak meal periods, ensuring accuracy, plating standards, and timeliness
- monitor food quality and consistency across all stations
- assist in recipe execution, menu adherence, and portion control
- support daily prep lists and kitchen organization to ensure smooth service
- maintain high standards of kitchen sanitation, safety, and compliance with DOH regulations
- communicate effectively with the culinary director and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
