Job Requirements
- Certification or college degree in culinary arts preferred
- Minimum three years experience as a chef or kitchen manager
- Two years supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling
- Maintains current Food Services Sanitation certificate
- ServeSafe certified
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must comply with applicable vaccination requirements
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to delegate assignments based on team members’ skills and interests
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Lead overall food production, food presentation, and supervision of dining services team members and labor management
- Demonstrate knowledge and provide leadership in nutrition and therapeutic diets
- Support product order guide and vendor programs
- Ensure meals and portions meet quality service and industry standards
- Implement methods for cost and portion control
- Facilitate food production, presentation, and sanitation training
- Monitor and evaluate food quality, plating, garnishing, and service delivery
- Ensure HACCP and sanitary compliance
- Support special events and catering food production
- Assist in overseeing Bistro, Banquets, and catering operations
- Review and maintain food and equipment temperature records
- Ensure completion of cleaning checklists and food rotation procedures
- Maintain HACCP records and Chef’s daily assistant log
- Promote customer engagement and monitor resident satisfaction
- Protect confidentiality of resident information
- Partner in safety and risk management, ensuring OSHA and hazard compliance
- Enforce safe food handling to prevent foodborne illness
- Assist in budgeting and financial management
- Coordinate staff economies and cross-training
- Deliver and participate in training programs
- Ensure compliance with state/provincial regulations
- Lead team engagement and development
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
