Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a professional kitchen
  • Food handler's certification
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Experience with menu development recipe creation and food costing
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Assist with overseeing daily kitchen operations food preparation and service
  • Ensure meals are prepared safely efficiently and to high culinary standards
  • Support menu planning and make adjustments based on resident preferences dietary needs and budget considerations
  • Train schedule and mentor kitchen staff in collaboration with culinary leadership
  • Monitor inventory levels manage food costs and minimize waste
  • Enforce sanitation safety and HACCP standards at all times
  • Oversee proper use and care of kitchen equipment
  • Complete food production and operational records accurately and on time
