Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of one year cooking experience in restaurant or senior living or equivalent
  • Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and guidelines
  • Availability to work part-time with weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining quality and presentation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year restaurant, senior living or equivalent cooking experience

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization at all times
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards consistently
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria as required by local regulations
  • Prepare diets according to policy and procedure
  • Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
  • Assist with serving meals and ware washing as necessary
  • Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service including quality, quantity, temperature and appearance
  • Conduct evaluations to revise operations and procedures to improve food service
  • Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
  • Support a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive top-line revenue and occupancy
