Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education development diploma
- Post-secondary culinary training preferred
- Brand certification a plus
- 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
- Certified in Serve Safe Management certification course
- Demonstrated team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching skills and ability to motivate others
- Demonstrated organization and multi-project issue management skills
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Ability to converse comfortably with individuals
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist in supervising the day to day activities of kitchen staff
- Assign responsibilities for specified work and set deadlines to ensure timely completion
- Promote safety and sanitation and inspect food handling
- Assist with menu planning, inventory, and managing supplies
- Maintain effective cost control, service, and quality standards to maximize sales and profits
- Comply with company, franchise, and regulatory agency standards
- Serve as a resource to resolve complex problems and issues
- Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, promotion, or advancement of kitchen associates
- Maintain positive associate relations through timely and professional performance management
- Provide high quality customer service and ensure proper training of staff
