Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- High school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
- Must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests
- Must meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a manager, assistant manager or supervisor role
- Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, cooking, plating, culinary arts, or hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to multitask
- Caring and compassionate attitude for others
- Thorough understanding of sanitation and infection control practices
Job Duties
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
- Assist executive chef with daily culinary and administrative tasks
- Follow assignments from executive and assistant director
- Assist with maintaining order and discipline in kitchen
- Manage record keeping, inventory, and purchase orders
- Perform executive chef duties in their absence
- Become proficient in all kitchen sanctions
- Cross-train and train new and existing culinary staff on preparation, arrangement, and plating of dishes per menu
- Maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents
