Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in culinary arts, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary or food and beverage
  • Must be able to perform all duties of kitchen managers and employees
  • Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Availability to work full time
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of culinary or related experience
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership and kitchen management skills
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to prepare and cook a variety of foods
  • Skilled in culinary creativity and food presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with labor management and scheduling
  • Capability to train, coach and mentor staff
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve customer service issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen shift operations and comply with food and beverage policies
  • Estimate and communicate daily production needs to kitchen staff
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Prepare and cook various food types including special functions
  • Develop new culinary applications and creative food presentations
  • Maintain standards for purchasing, receiving, and food storage
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff
  • Lead shifts while preparing food and meeting specifications
  • Use interpersonal skills to lead and motivate team
  • Foster trust, respect, and cooperation among staff
  • Serve as a role model with appropriate behaviors
  • Maintain employee productivity and enforce expectations
  • Establish collaborative team relationships
  • Implement fair and consistent property policies
  • Communicate performance expectations and provide feedback
  • Recognize and reward successful performance
  • Provide customer service excellence and handle guest complaints
