Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience as Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or equivalent role
  • Ability to complete monthly inventory and daily, weekly, monthly ordering
  • Ability to successfully train new culinary team members
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Knowledge of knife handling, food safety, and sanitation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Passion for food and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to accept and implement guidance
  • Able to stand/walk for long periods
  • Preferred two plus years experience as Sous Chef
  • Ability to train Sous Chefs
  • Proven ability to run high volume service
  • Ability to support administrative tasks
  • Proven dependability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience as a Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or equivalent role at a comparable restaurant
  • Ability to complete inventory and ordering independently
  • Skilled in training new culinary team members
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a desire to grow
  • Knowledge of knife handling, food safety, and sanitation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high energy environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Passion for food and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to accept guidance and implement directions effectively
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods
  • Preferred: Two or more years of Sous Chef experience
  • Ability to train new Sous Chefs
  • Experience running high volume services and administrative tasks
  • Proven dependability and continuous focus on development

Job Duties

  • Monitor and ensure standard kitchen operating procedures are met
  • Supervise culinary team members and assist in training, mentoring, and disciplining staff
  • Oversee service flow and monitor cooks' progress
  • Send daily service reports, reservation logs, and manage HR-related processes
  • Support and manage prep for service ensuring all items and recipes meet standards
  • Enforce and train food and equipment safety and sanitation practices
  • Assist in inventory, purchasing, and receiving of products
