Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a professional chef
  • Ability to manage and lead kitchen staff of 15 or more
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations including inventory, scheduling, and ordering
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Commitment to teamwork and hospitality ethos

Job Duties

  • Manage a team of more than 15 cooks plus 2-3 management-level sous chefs
  • Oversee kitchen systems including inventory management, prep lists, scheduling, and ordering
  • Bring creative ideas to the culinary program
  • Solve everyday kitchen problems with innovative solutions
  • Cook with a deep understanding of flavors and techniques
  • Mentor and develop kitchen staff
  • Take ownership of financial performance and the bottom line
  • Maintain organization and punctuality
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate across teams
