Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must possess or successfully pass a SERV Safe Certification
  • 3-5 years proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or senior living facility
  • strong knife skills and understanding various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and concepts
  • excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • must have good communication and interpersonal skills to handle interactions with residents, families and staff
  • must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to follow safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef in managing daily kitchen operations
  • plan menus and ensure food production meets quality standards
  • prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation guidelines
  • maintain excellent kitchen and staff management records
  • communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • support kitchen staff and respond to management direction
