Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare acute facility in a sous chef, executive chef, or managerial role
  • Culinary management skills
  • CDM/CFPP certification highly desired
  • Culinary degree or diploma preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist executive chef in menu development and planning
  • Oversee daily food production and ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Act as executive chef in their absence
  • Collaborate with clinical and dietitian staff to meet patient dietary needs
  • Oversee all food receiving, inspection, and inventory management
  • Maintain high standards of culinary excellence and service
