Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of two years experience as a chef in a large-scale cooking operation preferred
  • Prior dietary experience in LTC, SNF, AL, MC setting preferred
  • Flexible, fun, and energetic personality
  • Dedication and passion for working with seniors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professional image in both appearance and behavior

Job Duties

  • Ensure all food items are prepared to culinary standards and provide residents with an exceptional dining experience
  • Maintain portion control and minimize food waste
  • Inspect culinary service areas including logs, cooking equipment, storage rotation, and food service to ensure cleanliness and sanitation
  • Perform area sanitation tasks including cleaning of all cooking equipment and workstations
  • Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Assist in leading the culinary team in daily operations
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
