Job Requirements
- Ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and reach with hands and arms
- ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and 5 shifts per week
- ability to perform essential job functions safely and consistently
- must be able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods
- ability to maneuver physically through work areas including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching above shoulder height and climbing steps
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years culinary management experience in fine dining
- commitment to quality and hospitality
- highly organized and self-motivated
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- person of integrity and fairness
- ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
- good math skills and computer proficiency
Job Duties
- Assist in developing and implementing menus including daily specials
- ensure all food is prepared and served according to recipes and standards
- expedite service efficiently maintaining food quality
- place orders with farms and purveyors
- work to improve guest experience, service, operational efficiency, and employee training
- attend employee meetings and contribute to ideation sessions
- supervise and mentor kitchen team
- provide training and growth opportunities for staff
- communicate company policies and standards to staff
- administer corrective actions in coordination with HR
- schedule labor and control labor costs
- review and approve payroll
- maintain training manuals and safety programs
- conduct employee evaluations
