  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years experience in a similar role
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Choke Safety Certification
  • Allergen Awareness Certification (MA)

  • Culinary school certificate or degree (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Assist with menu writing and cost control using appropriate recipes and costing measures
  • Ensure the quality of all food products and maintain preparation and presentation standards
  • Support the culinary team in food production, execution, and presentation
  • Assist with the oversight of catering operations
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for compliance with standards
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment to staff
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment needs
  • Assist with purchasing food and supplies to ensure efficient operation and quality control
  • Determine production schedules and staff requirements for timely service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food handling, sanitation, uniform guidelines, and productivity standards
  • Compile and record production and operational data
  • Manage department controllable expenses including food costs, labor, supplies, uniforms, and equipment
  • Assist in budgetary processes
  • Analyze recipes to assign prices based on food, labor, and overhead costs
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Assist with staff review processes
  • Instruct, train, and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and presentation
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
