Job Duties

  • Supervise activities of assigned staff and communicate goals
  • assign and schedule work
  • enforce policies and procedures
  • oversee food preparation methods, portion sizes, and timeliness
  • control food usage to minimize waste
  • inspect cleanliness of the kitchen and maintain sanitation standards
  • ensure proper staffing for meal periods
  • develop and assume key management responsibilities
  • ensure completion of opening and closing procedures
  • review menus daily and manage inventory and purchasing
  • assist in stock level management
  • assist in cooking and food preparation
  • ensure compliance with policies, standards, and training
  • verify product deliveries and inventory accuracy
  • promote teamwork and quality service
  • assist in scheduling and payroll monitoring
  • lead coaching for guest service and employee satisfaction
  • oversee recipe quality control
  • prepare daily work assignments
  • assist with other duties as requested
