Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a sous chef or relevant kitchen leadership role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to assist in different kitchen stations
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain
  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a high-energy kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Expertise in menu planning and food presentation
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage inventory and ordering processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for culinary innovation and creativity
  • Experience with Mediterranean and Asian cuisine is a plus

Job Duties

  • Menu planning and designing the plating presentation for each dish
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time
  • Hiring and training of kitchen staff to prepare and cook all menu items
  • Collaborating with restaurant operations team
  • Optimizing staff productivity
  • Manage kitchen workflow during peak times or when a station needs additional support
  • Managing product inventory and placing orders as needed
  • Ensuring best practices are followed for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Monitoring new industry trends
  • Incorporating feedback from staff and guests to make improvements
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, coaching, training, and development of team members
  • Ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt standards
