Job Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school required
- Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations (HACCP)
- Ability to understand and demonstrate concepts of financial controls including keeping food costs within budget, controlling stock levels while being cost conscious and minimizing waste
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Service orientation
- Leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Duties
- Executes and supervises food production activities including proper cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking of food items
- Assumes responsibilities of Executive Chef during absences such as vacations or off-days including menu presentation to customers
- Supervises, coordinates, and controls kitchen helpers in food storage, maintaining tidiness and following the first-in-first-out principle
- Conducts, coordinates, and supervises inventories
- Monitors material consumption and orders required food and equipment daily to satisfy the production plan
- Participates in the development of food products and menus for presentations
- Maintains and monitors hygiene, health, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations
- Conducts quality control checks on goods received and ensures strict adherence to recipe specifications
- Guides, motivates, and develops subordinate employees according to Human Resources policies
- Implements and controls the cost budget in the area of responsibility and initiates corrective actions for deviations
- Participates in company initiatives such as Global Quality Standard (GQS), HACCP, and Lean Manufacturing
- Supports training of kitchen helpers
