Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years experience as a chef or kitchen manager
  • ability to lift up to 35 lbs consistently
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • maturity and ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • valid food handler certification

Job Qualifications

  • experience managing a large kitchen team
  • strong understanding of kitchen operations and systems
  • ability to lead and mentor staff
  • creativity in menu development and problem solving
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • knowledge of cooking techniques and flavor profiles

Job Duties

  • manage a team of 15 or more cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers
  • oversee kitchen systems including inventory, prep lists, scheduling and ordering
  • mentor and develop kitchen staff
  • create and implement creative culinary ideas and solutions
  • maintain a high level of cooking skill and understanding of flavors and techniques
  • communicate effectively with team members and management
  • ensure timely and organized kitchen operations
