Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of previous catering experience preferred
- Ability to work full time schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with varying days
- Capability to perform physical tasks associated with food preparation and kitchen management
- Compliance with corporate, state, and federal food safety standards
- Authorization to work legally in the United States
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of previous catering experience preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to manage and train hourly food service associates
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Knowledge of inventory management and food production tracking
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
- Stores food in designated areas following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Relays relevant information directly to supervisor
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
