  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
  • At least two (2) years of culinary experience
  • Formal culinary training or degree preferred
  • Supervisor experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the chef in managing daily kitchen operations by supervising staff, coordinating deliveries, and properly handling meats, produce, and baked goods
  • Train and mentor line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers to uphold kitchen standards
  • Ensure and maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies
  • Oversee food preparation, including measuring, cooking, seasoning, and plating
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes by following standardized recipes, ensuring proper seasoning, doneness, and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas while efficiently managing food inventory and production prep
  • Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices
  • Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members
