Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- minimum one year of experience in quantity food production preferred
- ability to read, write and comprehend English
- strong customer service skills
- ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- willingness to comply with vaccination and health requirements
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- commitment to maintaining sanitization and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certified or ability to obtain within 90 days
- one-year experience in quantity food production and preparation methods preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to understand and empathize with residents and families
- ability to work well under stress and high-volume conditions
Job Duties
- Participate in, supervise and coordinate the preparation of menu items
- ensure food is prepared, portioned, garnished and presented according to Burcham’s standards
- maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with health department requirements
- monitor food quality, portion control, temperature, and appearance
- ensure accurate labeling, proper food handling and work area organization
- respond courteously to resident needs and special requests
- assist in guiding and leading the Bistro culinary team
- uphold sanitation and safety standards
- deliver meals timely and accurately
- honor dietary restrictions and accommodate special dietary needs
