Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar culinary role
  • ServSafe certification
  • Choke Safety certification
  • Allergen Awareness certification
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift items up to 40 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Experience managing food production and staff
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in similar role
  • Culinary school certificate or degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Choke Safety certification required
  • Allergen Awareness certification required

Job Duties

  • Assist with menu writing and cycle of cost control utilizing appropriate recipes and costing measures
  • Ensure quality of all food products, preparation, and final presentation
  • Support culinary team in all aspects of food production, execution and presentation
  • Assist with oversight of catering operations
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas for compliance with standards
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment to staff
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding equipment purchases or repairs
  • Assist with purchasing of food and supplies while ensuring quality control
  • Determine production schedules and staff requirements
  • Maintain company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, uniforms, and productivity
  • Compile and record production or operational data
  • Manage department controllable expenses including food costs, labor, supplies, uniforms, and equipment
  • Assist with budgetary processes
  • Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items
  • Conduct inventory management
  • Assist with staff review process
  • Instruct, train and supervise cooks and other workers in food preparation
  • Provide excellent customer service including attentiveness, approachability, and greeting customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
