Job Requirements
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on first day of employment
- complete annual TB screening
- consent to criminal background check
- undergo drug testing and education verification
- ability to perform constant physical activities including balancing, repetitive motion, standing, talking, and walking
- ability to perform frequent physical activities such as crawling, crouching, and stooping
- ability to perform occasional stooping
Job Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree with business or food service-related field plus 4 years of experience in hospital food service, catering, or hospitality industry
- or high school diploma plus 8 years of experience in hospital food service, catering, or hospitality industry
- culinary arts management experience desirable
- culinary, dietary, or nutrition knowledge
- bachelor’s in culinary science from accredited university preferred
- certified Dietary Manager preferred
- SERV Safe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Produce quality food and ensure customer service standards are met
- use food production techniques that conserve nutrients and preserve flavor
- ensure staff complete training including in-services and annual requirements
- comply with Joint Commission and Health Department rules and regulations
- meet weekly with department managers to plan menus for special events and retail outlets
- collaborate and communicate with supervisors to address job needs
- train staff on customer service, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
- regularly inspect facility for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs
