Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • knowledge of Serv-Safe food handling procedures
  • ability to stand and walk for 50 percent of the time
  • occasional heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing
  • frequent reaching, handling, talking, hearing, seeing
  • adherence to personal hygiene and uniform standards
  • willingness to comply with safety regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including meal service times

  • Experience in kitchen supervision or culinary leadership
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to train and manage kitchen staff
  • proficiency in recipe adherence and food production monitoring

  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Supervising kitchen staff and operations
  • training new cooks and kitchen staff
  • ensuring recipe adherence and monitoring food quality
  • preparing, distributing, collecting, and entering production sheet data
  • completing and submitting food orders in absence of executive chef
  • maintaining inventory organization in coolers, freezers, and storage areas
  • upholding safety and sanitation standards
  • controlling food and plate costs
  • managing product re-utilization and rotation
  • assisting with catering functions
  • independently preparing and cooking large quantities of food
  • keeping work area clean and organized
  • supporting meal production, service, breakdown, and kitchen cleanliness
