Job Requirements

  • Relevant culinary education or equivalent experience
  • proven track record in high-volume kitchen management
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results
  • proficiency with kitchen and inventory management systems
  • commitment to maintaining company standards and recipes

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive experience running top kitchens in Chicago
  • experience launching and opening restaurants in Chicago and the US
  • comfortable with high volume business covers and revenue
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • ability to teach, coach, and train FOH and BOH staff

Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in food quality and consistency
  • take part in menu development and tastings
  • ensure efficiency of services and kitchen operations
  • uphold product and service standards
  • maintain health and safety compliance
  • oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • lead by example when running the pass or working on a section
  • support senior staff within the FOH and BOH teams
  • manage the kitchen's financial performance including monitoring GP targets
  • ensure appropriate stock levels and optimize ordering
  • adhere strictly to company recipes
  • use systems including QSR, stock management, and inventory control
