Job Requirements

  • Keen eye for detail to ensure food quality at all times
  • Experience working in a high volume and fine dining kitchen
  • Ability to effectively manage and inspire kitchen staff
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to manage food safety and compliance requirements
  • Experience with stock management and food cost control

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a fine-dining restaurant
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a high volume quality restaurant
  • Proven track record in recruiting developing and retaining high performing kitchen teams
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with confidence to lead kitchen operations
  • Ability to multitask and manage relationships at all levels

Job Duties

  • Be responsible for effective execution of all dishes ensuring consistent presentation and guest satisfaction
  • Act as the key leader of the kitchen managing the team and driving food quality and standards
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the kitchen team to achieve high loyalty and retention rates
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and food safety standards
  • Manage supply chain and stock control in line with restaurant standards
  • Manage food margin and control costs within targets
  • Coordinate and manage all kitchen resources to achieve P&L targets
