- must possess or be able to obtain Food Handlers' Card
- must possess or be able to obtain a Food Safety Management Certification
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- culinary training or certification is advantageous
- previous experience in a kitchen or food service role preferred
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- willingness to learn new techniques and work collaboratively
Job Duties
- follow recipes consistently and make adjustments based on customer requests
- communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes for attractive meal presentation
- ensure resident special diets are offered and prepared respecting resident choices
- learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
- serve food occasionally
- execute opening and closing kitchen procedures
- operate kitchen equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
- clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- work effectively with a team and demonstrate team behaviors
- manage conflict and resident complaints effectively
- focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
- comply with all food safety and equipment safety procedures
- adhere to community quality standards and requirements
- maintain punctuality, dependability, self-motivation, and work independently
- maintain high quality of food preparation and presentation
