Job Requirements
- associate degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts or related field
- progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- proven experience in catering
- knowledge of high-volume foodservice operations
- familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- ability to maintain high standards of food quality and sanitation
- good communication and supervisory skills
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- ability to participate in client satisfaction programs
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- catering experience a plus
- experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations highly desirable
- knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- proficient with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
Job Duties
- assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise hourly culinary associates
- help maintain food quality and kitchen sanitation standards
- participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
