Job Requirements

  • associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience
  • progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • knowledge of catering and high-volume foodservice operations
  • proficiency with computer applications including microsoft office
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • servsafe certification preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • a.s. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experienced with computers including microsoft office (word, excel, and power point), outlook, e-mail and the internet
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • servsafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise kitchen staff
  • develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
  • assist with ordering ingredients
