Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of related experience in kitchen management or culinary operations
- Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices
- Ability to manage staff and complex kitchen operations
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, standing for long periods
- Ability to work in a temperature-varied kitchen environment
- Good comprehension and literacy skills
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience of one to two years in a related kitchen management or culinary position
- Advanced knowledge of food profession principles, management of people and food and beverage operations
- Ability to analyze budget and production data
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with franchise standards
- Manage human resources in the kitchen production and preparation areas including interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel and conduct performance and salary reviews
- Schedule and oversee maintenance and sanitation of kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure health and safety standards are met or exceeded
- Monitor, analyze and control labor and food costs, prepare reports, charts and schedules to ensure budgets are met or exceeded
- Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
