Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in kitchen leadership role
- Culinary school graduate or related training is a plus
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations including OSHA
- Ability to multitask and manage projects under pressure
- Demonstrated decision making and attention to detail
- Ability to meet budgets including labor and food costs
- Strong staff training and team building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Fluency in English including reading and writing
- Proficiency in computer and technology use
- Serve Safe food handler’s certificate
- Ability to commute and travel to various locations
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in kitchen leadership in a high volume environment
- Culinary school graduate or related training preferred
- Functional knowledge of health department and OSHA regulations
- Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with budgeting and cost control including labor and food costs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer and technological skills
- Serve Safe food handler’s certificate
- Ability to train and motivate culinary staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Fluent in English language
Job Duties
- Oversee kitchen production areas alongside the executive chef
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise multiple kitchen shifts
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with City Winery food culture and quality standards
- Monitor production procedures for quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Train kitchen staff in proper food storage, preparation, and presentation
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute culinary elements of events
- Manage kitchen budgeting, purchasing, and inventory
- Lead culinary projects and initiatives to improve kitchen operations
- Conduct kitchen staff meetings and performance evaluations
- Enforce company policies and procedures within the kitchen
- Train staff in safe operating procedures of kitchen equipment and utensils
