Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • Post-secondary culinary training preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Certification in Serve Safe Management course
  • Strong team management skills
  • Ability to delegate and resolve issues
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Organization and multi-project management abilities
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist in supervising day to day activities of kitchen staff
  • Assign responsibilities and set deadlines
  • Promote safety and sanitation

  • Assist with menu planning and inventory management
  • Maintain cost control, service, and quality standards
  • Comply with company and regulatory standards
  • Serve as resource for problem resolution
  • Provide recommendations for staffing decisions
  • Maintain effective communication and associate relations
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage incentives
  • Ensure highest quality of customer service
  • Train and support kitchen staff
