Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or culinary certification
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations such as HACCP
  • Ability to manage food cost within budget, control stock levels, and minimize waste
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows computer applications

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or culinary apprenticeship or certification
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
  • Understanding of financial controls including food cost management and waste minimization
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Service orientation
  • Leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications

Job Duties

  • Execute and supervise food production activities such as cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking
  • Assume Executive Chef responsibilities during absences including menu presentation and customer interactions
  • Supervise, coordinate, and control kitchen helpers in food storage and hygiene practices
  • Conduct and oversee inventory management and material consumption monitoring
  • Participate in food product and menu development and updates to catering manuals
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP regulations and conduct quality control checks
  • Support training and development of kitchen helpers
