Job Qualifications
- In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations
- Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
- Experience with training, basic financial management and customer service
- Proficient in general computer knowledge
- A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
- Strong training and communication skills
- Culinary education and/or on the job training, hotel experience preferred
Job Duties
- Work closely with executive chef and executive sous chef to assist in building a hotel kitchen from the ground up
- Run respective kitchens in the absence of the chef
- Maintain a work environment that promotes teaching, teamwork, mentoring and sound culinary techniques
- Use top-quality ingredients to create unique, positive guest experiences
- Oversee the hotel’s signature restaurant, rooftop restaurant, banquet and catering functions, in-room dining, and staff cafeteria
- Support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities
- Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership
